Carnival Scene Investigation
Time Bomb turned to Panda. “This isn’t right. Slits would never use a gun. He was a cutter.”
“I never understood why he did it,” said Panda. “Her mom will be by in a few days to fix him. He can’t really die.”
Time Bomb now felt like he had to state the obvious. None of the toys’ lives in the closet were easy. Slits had it a little harder than some. “She stapled his eyes open and then stapled a permanent smile on his face. I think I can understand why he would want to.”
“Jesus! The things he’s seen,” said Terrifisaurus
“… and had to smile through,” added Time Bomb
Time Bomb stepped forward and crouched down to get a better view of the scene. “Looks like the cotton candy blood splatter isn’t that dry. This looks like it’s pretty recent.”
“What are you doing?” asked Panda.
“I’m examining the scene for evidence of what happened,” responded Time Bomb.
Panda was putting a full stop to this. He needed some fuel. “If we’re doing that I need cocaine.”
“F#@k!” sighed Terrifisaurus.
“But…”
Panda took a hit off the last of his joint. “I’m not touching a clown’s dead body, blood, or brains, and theorizing about what happened until I score an 8 ball. I need my muse.”
